Malecko božićno darivanje (zatvoreno)
Božić stiže tako brzo! I naravno, opet ću u panici trčati po poklone, bor, lampice, sastojke za kolače... Nikako da se naučim :-SS . Anyhow, ovo je mali giveaway samo za cure iz Hrvatske. Do sad sam uvijek imala international darivanja pa se nadam da nitko neće zamjeriti. A budući da su samo 4 dana do Božića, mora biti i brz. New York Summer Hot purple
Opet sam malo pretjerala s fotkama ali jedva sam se uspjela prisilit da obrišem koju. Ne mogu si pomoć - obožavam ljubičastu boju a još kad je u kombinaciji s jelly finišem, jednostavno poblesavim :D. Iako sam već nekoliko puta kupovala na Transdesignu, New York lakići me nisu nikad posebno zaintrigirali sve do nedavne narudžbe kad sam u potrazi za swatchevima ovog neobičnog branda našla ovaj. :x Hot purple je sočni, staklasti indigo jelly koji me podsjeća na sok od borovnice. Kao i većini jellyja, trebalo je nekoliko slojeva (tri) da se izjednači boja i donekle prekrije linija nokta ali kad je boja ovako divna to mi uopće nije problem. Formula je za jelly dosta dobra, nije prevodenast da poplavi zanoktice ili da se slijeva niz četkicu a niti pregust (što mi je kod laka još gore), sušenje isto OK, uz sloj brzosušećeg nadlaka. Kod jelly lakova je zanimljivo što, zbog toga što su dosta prozirni, dosta mijenjaju boju ovisno o količini svjetla koja prodire kroz njih - od skoro neonske ljubičaste na suncu do tamnoplave pod neonskim svjetlom. Otuda i varijacije u nijansi na mojim fotkama. Na trećoj, četvrtoj i petoj fotki sam ga slikala malo preblizu svjetlu i preeksponirala pa se vidi linija nokta, ali uživo nije vidljiva. Odličan mi je i za layering, tj. bolje rečeno - overlaying preko šljokica i flakieja - jučer sam na njega lupila sloj Gosh Rainbow flakieja pa još jedan sloj Hot purple i izgleda genijalno (fotke drugom prilikom, zbog nastalog tipweara)! Mislim da ću naručivati bar još koju bočicu - jednu za backup i jednu za frankening ;). New York Summer lakići na TD su 1,59 $ plus shipping.

I have bought from Transdesign several times but I never really noticed New York polishes until a recent order when, browsing for swatches, I found this one :x. Hot purple is a juicy squishy and unbelievably glossy indigo jelly (reminds me of blueberry juice). Like most jellies, it needs at least 3 coats to even it out and cover the nail line but when the polish is so beautiful, I don't mind that at all. The formula is pretty good for a jelly, not to watery to flood your cuticles or drip down the brush nor too thick (which I hate the most), drying time is fine too, with some quick-drying tc. The interesting thing with the jellies is that because of the sheerness they change color a lot depending of the amount of light that shines through - from almost neon purple in the sun to dark blue under fluorescent light. I photographed it too close to the lamp in pics 3., 4. and 5. so it appears to show VNL but it isn't visible in real life. This is fabulous for layering and even better for "overlaying" as I call it (sometimes refered to as a "sandwich" mani) - I slapped a coat of Gosh Rainbow flakies over it yesterday and another layer of Hot purple and it looks amazing (I'll swatch it some other time, too much tipwear). I think I'll be getting a backup of this one and an extra bottle for frankening ;). You can find New York Summer polishes at TD for 1,59 $ plus shipping.

Orly Rock-it (picture heavy)
Ovu sunčanu, toplu izbornu nedjelju iskoristila sam za kavicu na otvorenom, vožnju biciklom ali i fotkanje mog novog ljubimca - Orly Rock-it. Zapravo, toliko sam bila uzbuđena i željna da ulovim mrvicu sunca da sam zaboravila uključit makro kod pola fotki :D (ako se pitate zašto su mnoge fotke mutnjikave). Anyhow, Orly Rock-it je dio nove Orly Mineral FX kolekcije i formulom me dosta podsjeća na prošlogodišnju Cosmic FX kolekciju. Rock-it je vatreno-ciklamasto-ljubičast i glass-fleck glitter koji me podsjeća na tekući metal :x. Duochrome efekt je prisutan ali nikad ne djeluje tako da lak pod nekim svjetlom ima drugu boju, nema onog klasičnog prelijevanja ali ponekad istovremeno na njemu vidim ljubičastu, narančastu i ciklamu a moram priznati da mi je to i draže od duochromea koji se danju prelijevaju a navečer konstantno izgledaju brončano ili zlatno. Na ovim fotkama su dva sloja i sloj INM Out the door. Lakić se nanosi kao putar, skoro pa u jednom sloju. Damn... sad želim i Rococo a-go-go B-)...

In fact, I was so excited by the appearance of sun after several gloomy weeks that I forgot to switch on the macro on my camera :D (if you are wondering why so many blurry pictures). Anyhow, Orly Rock-it was released as a part of Orly's new Mineral FX collection. The formula is quite similar to the last years Cosmic FX collection. Rock-it is a fiery-magenta-purplish glass fleck glitter that reminds me of liquid metal :x. The duochrome is present, but never strong enough to change the color completely under certain lights or angles. It isn't a classic duochrome but sometimes I see purple, orange and magenta reflecting all at once and I admit I like that much better than the typical duochromes that flash both colors during daytime but look constantly bronze or gold in the evening. There are two coats and a coat of INM Out the door in these pics. It applies like butter, almost in one coat. Damn, now I want Rococo a-go-go too... B-) ...
