Kelier Purple crackle

Konačno i drugi crackle lakić koji mi je poslala Jessica s Bornprettystore.com - ljubičasti crackle (ne bi se baš reklo po fotkama :) ). Ne zamjerite neuredno nanošenje, žurilo mi se a još nemam kista za precizne popravke. Kao i s plavim crackle lakom, upute su iste - nanijeti bazni lak (ja na prvoj fotki imam kreč-bijeli minić iz Name a na drugoj CND Silver Chrome), ne nanositi nikakav nadlak, nanijeti tanki do srednji sloj crackle laka, gledati kako pucketa :D i kad završi, nanijeti nadlak. Nadlak je obavezan jer će se u protivnom crackle oljuštiti s nokta ali ne preporučujem brzosušeće jer mogu skupiti pukotine. Ja se još nisam baš ispraksirala u nanošenju jer mi nekako na svakom noktu ispadne drugi efekt zbog različite debljine sloja. Jedini minus ovih lakića mi je što se dosta teško skidaju, kao glitter, pa možda metoda skidanja folijom ne bi bila naodmet. Finally, the second crackle polish from Jessica from Bornprettystore.com - purple crackle (you wouldn't say it by looking at the pics but it actually is purple :) ). Forgive the messy application, I was in a hurry and I haven't mastered any cleanup techniques yet). Like with the blue cracke, the instructions are the same: apply the base color (I used white on the first pic and silver (CND Silver chrome) on the second pic), do not apply top coat at this moment, apply a thin to medium layer of crackle, watch it crack :D and when the cracking is done, apply top coat. TC is a must since the crackle will chip off the nail without it, but I don't recommend fast-drying top coats because they can shrink the cracks back. I still haven't got the hang of applying crackle, somehow the effect is different on every nail. The only downside I could find is these are rather hard to remove, like glitter, so the foil removal method would probably be the best. Zoya Miley

Čudan dan, čudan lak... Zoya Miley je moja varijanta nudača, moj "palate cleanser" kako bi ga Lacquerista nazvala, lak za kojim posežem kad mi dosade šljokice, shimmer, flejkiji i sve što svjetluca. No taj odmor ovaj put nije potrajao, kao što se vidi iz priloženog jer već idući dan sam morala dodati i malo shimmera. :D Miley je neobičan prozirni blijedo ledeno-sivkasto-lila jelly i vjerojatno najelegantniji lak u mojoj kolekcijici. Obožavam ga :x.   Na fotki su 3 sloja, bez nadlaka. Zapravo me nijansa malo podsjeća na Zoyu Marley, iako je finiš potpuno drugačiji, možda zato sličnost u imenima...

A strange day, a strange polish...Zoya Miley is my version of a nude polish, my "palate cleanser" as the Lacquerista would call it, the polish I reach for when I get enough of all the glitter, flakies, shimmer and all things sparkly. It didn't last long this time, as you can see in second pic, since I topped it with some shimmer the very next day :D. Miley is a strange sheer pale icy-grayish-lilac jelly and probably the most elegant polish in my collection. I adore it :x. There are 3 coats in the first picture, no tc. The shade reminds me of Zoya Marley a bit, although the finish is completely different, and the names are similar too...

Ovo ljepše izgleda uživo: Zoya Miley + CND Crimson sparkle (roskasto-bakreni shimmer) i China Glaze Fairy dust (nadlak s holografskim shimmerom).

This looks better IRL: Zoya Miley + CND Crimson sparkle (a pinkish-copper shimmer) and China Glaze Fairy dust (holographic top coat).

Milani Photo flash

Nakon OPI Let me entertain you, ovo je moj drugi glass-fleck glitter promašaj. Nijanse od fuksije do crvene definitivno nisu moje boje, posebno ne u svijetlijoj varijanti. Ovakve boje mi obično izgledaju fenomenalno na fotkama ali su mi too much na noktima. Photo flash je negdje između hotpink i crvene. Kao i Let me entertain you i Milani Photo flash mi je prekričav, bar na meni. Da je tamniji za par nijansi bio bi mrak, a la Zoya Sara recimo. I dalje mislim da je lijep lak, samo ne za mene (ako to ima kakvog smisla :D). Malo je rijedak pa treba dobro obrisati četkicu ali nanosi se lagano i suši brzo, bez obzira na tri sloja.
This is my second glass-fleck glitter miss, the first being OPI Let me entertain you. Fuchsia and red shades are definitely not my favorite part of the spectrum. Colors like these usually look great on swatches but they're a bit too much for me. Photo flash's color is somewhere between hot pink and red. As with Let me entertain you, this is a bit too bright and flashy to me. If it were a few shades darker, I'd love it - something like Zoya Sara for example. I still think it's a pretty polish, just not my shade (if that makes any sense :D). It's a bit runny so you have to wipe the brush so it doesn't flood your cuticles, but it applies nicely and dries quick, inspite of three coats.

Sally Hansen Laser

Skroz sam zaboravila ovaj swatch, nastao prije puknuća. Laser je moj prvi Sally Hansen kojeg sam zgrabila u rasprodaji na jednom blogu. Plavo-lila duochrome u ovom laku sličan je Orly Lunar eclipse, samo je svjetliji. Od duochromea se na fotkama ne vidi ni "d", osim možda mrvicu na kažiprstu. Laser je dosta vodenast pa treba paziti da ne iscuri s nokta i treba bar tri sloja ali suši se dosta brzo i dosta je postojan. Meni osobno nikad dosta glass-fleck glittera - da bar ima još boja s ovim finišem. Fotke su malo isprane ali ovaj lakić jednostavno blješti. Još da mi je i DVD :x...
I took these pics before the breakage and almost forgot about them. Laser is my first Sally Hansen I grabbed at a blog sale. Electric blue with lilac duochrome reminds me a bit of Orly Lunar eclipse. The duochrome is of course barely visible on my pics, maybe a tiny bit on my index finger. Laser is a bit watery so you have to be careful it doesn't flood your cuticles, plus it needs at least 3 coats but it dries pretty fast and, surprisingly, lasts quite long on me. I personally can't get enough of glass flecked glitter - I wish there were more colors in this finish. The colors are a bit washed out in my pics but believe me, this glows. If only I could get DVD too... :x

Bourjois 1 Seconde #9

Nakon silnog glittera evo nešto manje blješteće - Bourjois 1 Seconde #9, zagasito ljubičasti krem lakić s malo pink shimmera. Nadala sam se da će shimmer u ovom laku ipak biti vidljiviji, kao u bočici, ali jedva se vidi i pod halogenom lampom. Šteta, jer sa samo malo više shimmera ili malo prozirnijom bazom bio bi wow! No možda je problem u meni i mojoj ovisnosti o svemu što blješti. :D Zato #9 koristim najčešće umjesto crnog laka jer zapravo on i izgleda skoro crno 90% vremena.
After all the glitter, something a bit less sparkly - Bourjois 1 Seconde #9, a dark brownish purple creme with a bit of pink shimmer. The shimmer is barely visible on the nail (looks like most of it is stuck on the bottle), even in direct light, which is a shame - with just a bit more shimmer and a jelly base it would probably be gorgeous. But maybe it's just me and my addiction to bling. :D Anyhow, I use #9 mostly instead of a black polish since it looks almost black most of the time.

Milani Purple gleam

Evo i ljubičastog Milani glittera - šećer na kraju. Purple gleam je miks crnog i magenta glittera. Za razliku od Nubar Violet sparkle koji vuče na indigo ljubičastu (iliti ultraviolet kako je ja volim zvati :), Purple gleam je ljubičasta koja više vuče na crvenu stranu spektra. Zaljubljena sam... :x Jedino što sam zeznula s ovim lakom je što sam ga nanijela predebelo - stavila sam dva sloja iako je i s jednim izgledao čisto OK, na to tri sloja nadlaka i naravno, idući dan je lak počeo otpadat ucijelo. :D Mislim da bi bio postojaniji s manje nadlaka (ali što mogu kad volim da je kao voda) ili sa samo jednim slojem.

And finally, last but not the least - the purple Milani glitter. Purple gleam is a mix of black and dark magenta glitter. Unlike Nubar's Violet sparkle which is more of an indigo purple (I like to call it ultraviolet :) ), Purple gleam is more a red-based purple. I'm in LOVE :x.... I messed up the application because I applied it too thick - I used two coats even though it looked just fine with one. Add 3 coats of top coat on top of that and what you get is polish flying off your nails within a day. :D I think it would last more either in a single coat or with less top coat, but I can't help it - I like my glitters glossy.

Rimmel Sky high

Elan koji sam dobila dolaskom sunca ponukao me da isprobam ovu ljetnu bojicu (prošli tjedan prije puknuća). Neke je boje s razlogom bolje ostaviti za ljeto. :D Lak je možda i OK ali na mojim trenutno blijedim rukama izgleda prilično bolesno. Formula mi je malo gusta, ali pokrivenost je OK u dva sloja. Boja na fotkama nije baš 100% pogođena, ima više zelene, kao na ovom mini swatchu:

We had quite a few sunny days last week that encouraged me to try this summer color (before the breakage). Obviously, some colors are best left to their seasons :D. It's a nice polish but it looks pretty sick on my pale hands. The formula is a bit thick but covers nicely in two coats. My camera didn't capture the color that accurately, it has a bit more green in it, like in the mini swatch below.

Cherryculture haul and nubbins again

Konačno mi je stigao paketić s Cherryculture s dugo priželjkivanim Milani glitterima i isti dan mi pukne nokat na kažiprstu. :( Nadam se da ću ponoviti ove swatcheve s normalnom duljinom, ali evo par ćevapčić-svočeva za prvu ruku. 

The day the package from Cherryculture with my Milani glitters finally arrived, the nail on my index broke. :( Hope I'll redo these when  I reach normal length again. In the mean time, here are some nubbin-swatches.

Milani Blue Flash je prava ljetna plava i stvarno se nanosi skoro u jednom sloju. Ja sam ipak stavila još jedan budući da se na fotkama obično pokažu praznine koje se ne vide uživo. Meni ovaj lakić lijepo izgleda i bez nadlaka ali na dodir je hrapav pa sam ga ipak dodala tri sloja INM Out the door nadlaka. Sechea bi vjerojatno bilo dosta dva sloja jer je gušći.

Milani Blue flash is a summer blue shade that's almost a one-coater. I applied a second coat because pictures usually tend to show gaps that aren't really noticable in real life. I like the look of this polish even without a top coat but I added 3 layers of INM Out the door top coat since it felt a little too scratchy. Guess you could get away with two layers of Seche because it's much thicker.

Milani Silver dazzle je miks crnog i srebrnog glittera koji daje tamnosivu boju i meni najdraži od svih. :x Mrak!

Milani Silver dazzle is a mix of black and silver glitter which gives this gunmetal or charcoal gray color. :x This is my favorite of the bunch. :x Awesome!

Orly Meet me under the mistletoe

Malo kasnim s ovim lakićem jer Božić je prošao odavno, ali još je zima i ova mi boja jednostavno paše. Meet me under the mistletoe (ime mi je divno :x) je zimzeleni staklasti glitter u jelly bazi. Kao sofisticiraniji rođak China Glaze Emerald sparkle. Duochrome koji je prisutan u bočici nažalost nije vidljiv na noktima ali boja je svejedno predivna. Na fotkama su tri sloja i sloj brzosušećeg laka. Sorry na packi na kažiprstu - uzbuđenje pri nanošenju. :D

I'm way behind swatching this cause Christmas is far behind us, but it's Winter and I'm still drawn to shades like these. Meet me under the mistletoe (I looooove this name :x) is a forest green glass-fleck glitter suspended in jelly base. It's like China Glaze Emerald Sparkle's sophisticated cousin. Unfortunately, the duochrome that's visible in the bottle, doesn't show on the nail, but the color is amazing nonetheless. There are three coats and a layer of fast-drying top coat in these pics. Sorry for the smudge on my index, I was too excited to try it. :D

Balea Hand lotion Sheabutter & Vanille LE

Mislim da nisam nikad postala na blogu neki proizvod koji nije lak za nokte ali nisam mogla odoliti. :D Ovaj losion za ruke je kao stvoren za mene. Iako mi je i losion odličan, zapravo sam više oduševljena samim konceptom bočice s pumpicom. Budući da obavezno zaboravim nanijeti kremu nakon pranja ruku, ova flašica mi sad stoji doma na lavabou i na poslu na radnom stolu. Kako mi je koža ruku dosta suha, teško da bi mi bio dovoljan samo ovaj losion po ovoj hladnoći pa to nadoknađujem navečer sa shea maslacem. Sastav mi se isto sviđa jer za razliku od mnogih krema na kojima se masnim slovima navode biljni sastojci da bi ih na kraju bilo samo u tragovima, ovaj losion stvarno sadrži shea maslac, maslinovo i avokadovo ulje, plus nema mineralnih ulja. Miris je ugodan i lagan (nije onaj grozni umjetni miris vanilije koji vuče na spaljenu plastiku), tekstura lagana i nije masna. I cijena je više nego OK - 13,90 kn za 300 ml. Jedini bed je što je Limited edition, no zato sam uzela i jedan za backup a nadam se da će ubuduće biti i drugih varijanti... npr. Sheabutter & Cocoa... =P~

I don't think I ever posted any product on this blog other than nail polish but I couldn't resist. :D It's like this hand lotion was made for me. I love the formula, but I'm even more thrilled with the container. This is perfect for me since I always forget to moisturize after washing my hands. I placed one bottle on my bathroom sink and one on my office desk. The lotion is pretty light and since my hands are rather dry, I still need a heavier moisturizer at night so I apply shea butter before I go to bed. I like the ingredients too, unlike some moisturizers that brag about the herbal ingredients and oils only to be found in traces, this one actually contains shea butter, olive and avocado oil. No mineral oils is a plus too. The scent is soft and pleasant (not that horrible burnt plastic scent), it's light in texture and non greasy. And at 2,5$ a bottle (300 ml / 10 oz) it's pretty cheap. The only downside is that it's Limited edition, but I hope there will be more versions of this in the future. I'm thinking.... Sheabutter & Cocoa... =P~
